With physical bullying, the bully sees the reaction of the victim pretty quickly and soon sees the consequences of their actions. I don’t necessarily mean ‘physical’ like punches, kicks or something, I mean face-to-face. Sometimes an apology is later given… Anyways, it’s not that much of a problem anymore. Why? It’s because everything…even bullying…has gone digital.
With cyberbullying, the effect of the bullying does not seem to be noticed by the bully soon afterwards. Sometimes, the victim is terribly distraught. They are down. Sometimes, they do terrible things. Like killing themselves, or something just as bad… Then, the bully is ripped apart by the community. This is why cyberbullying needs to be eradicated. Because its damage is too lasting.
People need to realize that no matter what they do, anywhere has a lasting effect. Words and actions have power.
